Muzaffar Ahmed, Chairman of CIBL, is a visionary personality in the financial arena of Bangladesh. He has been leading many innovative initiatives to modernize Finance and Accounting in South East Asia for more than two decades. Bangladesh’s Finance and Accounting maestro is best known for his depth knowledge, unparallel creativity and thirst for innovation.

Muzaffar started his career as a Lecturer of Accounting at the University of Chittagong back in 1974. He is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant and the Founder President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Managers of Bangladesh (ICSMB). Mr. Ahmed served at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) as a Director, then at the Micro Industries Development Association Society (MIDAS) as the Director Finance and also worked as Consultant and Advisor in many national and international organizations. He served number of well known organizations at home and abroad before he involved himself in the credit rating business in 1995. Mr. Ahmed is a researcher, author of number of professional books and articles, and thoroughly aspires to modernize the finance and accounting sector of Bangladesh to the same standard as the finance best practices around the globe.

In recent years, the importance and possibilities of Information Technology and related knowledge areas inspired Mufazzar to combine his profound knowledge with technology and create more magic. Before being involved with CIBL, he persued number of Diploma Degrees and Professional Training Programs in Project Management, E-data Processing, System Analysis, COBOL Programming and few other related knowledge areas.

A Bangladeshi national and member of numerous national and international professional societies, Muzaffar Ahmed is a Master of Accounting, Fellow Cost and Management Accounting, Fellow Chartered Secretaries and Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from educational institutions home and abroad.

Muhammad Mahbub Hussain
Executive Director

Muhammad Mahbub Hussain is Executive Director of CIBL, with responsibility for driving the company’s business operations, guiding the technical operations, and ensuring that CIBL’s capabilities, offerings and services are leveraged effectively. Prior to be named to this position, he had been leading or contributing to teams from different operational areas of eight (8) organizations in different countries (Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Australia) which belong to the dynamic disciplines of technology oriented business areas such as Automated Banking Service Provider, Software Development and IT Outsourcing, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution Provider, Information Management and Consulting, Professional Electronic Device Manufacturing and Maintenance etc.

An ambitious Bangladeshi national, Mahbub holds a Master of Computing (Software Engineering) degree from University of Western Sydney (NSW, Australia) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering degree from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (Dhaka, Bangladesh).
